ABM Integrated Solutions will soon be developing and implementing a shared IT system for Apprenticeship, using iTacit at the core of this software.

The system, which is being cost-shared by the Atlantic provinces, the province of Manitoba, and the federal government for a total of approximately $10.1 million, will replace aging information infrastructure and improve online services.

ABM Integrated Solutions has partnered with Accreon and iTacit, both technology companies based in Fredericton, New Brunswick to share in developing the system which will replace aging information infrastructure and improve online services. This shared technology will improve service for apprentices and employers. Once the system is complete, employers will be able to register apprentices more seamlessly and log and track on-the-job hours. Apprentices will also have benefits such as being able to apply for technical training and register for exams online.

“We are proud to be a part of this joint initiative benefiting employers and apprentices and taxpayers through a shared vision of an information system that reduces costs, red tape and supports economic growth” said Joe Shannon, President, ABM Integrated Solutions.

The system is expected to be in place in 2019.
